Henrik Mattsson holds a PhD from Uppsala University and is currently associated with the Centre for Research on Innovation and Industrial Dynamics (CIND), Uppsala University. His research is primarily on biotechnological innovation, creative milieus and innovation networks. Henrik also teaches on courses in economic geography, science and technology studies, and urban and social geography. He is funded by CIND and Handelsbanken (Wallander Scholarship). 

Research Interests:

Henrik’s research concerns biotech innovation and other types of creativity related to research, technology and competitiveness. Henrik is especially interested in the challenges associated with innovation governance and his research agenda focuses on exploring “unruly innovation”. This includes an interest in:
